When 50 armed Chechen separatists entered the Dubrova theater in okt 2002 and took 850 people hostage with threat of execution if Putin did not withdraw from Chechnya Putin replied that he would wash them down in the shithouse and the result was 240 dead and 700 injured.
Putin does not give in to terrorism and threats which is well known in the world and therefore preferred to kill 240 people and injured 700 by letting toxic gas into the theater.
